Corporate Social Responsibility Policy

Working with Samaritans to Strengthen People's Lives

Our corporate social responsibility policy is core to Strengths Partnership. We are committed to strengthening our clients, people and our communities, building a more sustainable, connected and positive future for all. To further this aim, we have selected Samaritans (www.samaritans.org) as our charity partner of choice for the next two years. We share similar aspirations – the value and importance of talking and helping people build strength and confidence to deal with the challenges they might face in life.

Every year Samaritans takes millions of calls from people across the UK and Ireland who are struggling to cope and might not have anywhere else to turn. Through their network of 18,500 volunteers, the charity is able to deliver a confidential support service, 24 hours a day 365 days a year.

This partnership with Samaritans will draw on a wealth of joint experience to promote emotional wellbeing and resilience, while raising vital funds for the charity. In line with the Government's initiative to start measuring the country's wellbeing, Strengths Partnership and Samaritans will explore ways to improve employees' wellbeing, resilience and 'strengths fitness' at work. Strengths Partnership will also undertake a variety of fundraising activities for the charity including:

1. Raising funds through the sales of its Strengthscope™ product suite, a world leading range of strengths profiling tools designed to help individuals and teams understand and unleash their natural strengths and productive energy at work. Strengths Partnership donates 50p from the sale of each Strengthscope™ product.
2. Raising funds via campaigns that include Going for Gold, a workplace challenge designed to capture the spirit and energy of the forthcoming London Olympics. Participating companies will be invited to make a donation of £25 to Samaritans for each participating team/group.
